This year was a huge improvement over last year. Still chasing some better finishes in finals, but it's coming. Special thanks to all my sponsors this season! Here's a tally of the results.

Beaver Mtn. Hillclimb - April 8-9
Had a great time at Beaver Mtn. Hillclimb. Qualified 2 of 3 classes, but didn't have that great of finals runs. The snow was the deepest I have ever seen at the resort which was good. The whole family came down to party for the weekend, and we all had a great time hangin out with the racing crowd. Rosa made a few new 'racer wife' friends and the kids played a lot more than last year. I wasn't too keen on the woops sections at the bottom and for good reason. More than a few racers got tangled up and wrecked going through these sections, and I knew it just wasn't for me to do the same thing. I have tried being a 'hero' and it generally doesn't end well lol. Overall can't complain, the points will help toward getting to Jackson. On to the last race of the season, Powder Mountain!!

Pebble Creek 'MOGUL MADNESS' - April 1-2
We all know Pebble Creek wasn't that great last year. Well, this year I took the mindset of not having any problems at all and making an awesome weekend out of the hometown race. Things went extremely well and I finally qualified in all 3 classes! I also finally got my first Top 5 finish in finals. I actually finished 4th in the first run, but they ran us twice like MX style finals and I couldn't hold on to that spot. I had a blast railing up the hill all weekend, and except for a nasty bobble in Improved finals made it through the lights 6 out of 7 runs. The only thing that would have helped was getting the sled to run a little better. I've been fighting clutching all year, but something worked out this weekend that the sled still had enough to get me over the top.

Lost Trail Hillclimb - David Shepherd Memorial - Mar. 12-13
Lost Trail Hillclimb was pretty fun. Again, had a hard time finding a groove and putting down a good run, but did qualify in Modified. The hill had a TON of snow and the trenches were deep enough to swallow sleds whole. Sometimes there were even 2 trenches side-by-side you had to choose from, and were literally as deep as the top of my shoulders. Had a good time even though I didn't qualify in as many classes.

Afton Hillclimb - Feb. 25-27
Afton Hillclimb was a great race this year. The snow was deep and settled which made for a great course. As always, plenty of nasty stumps were still littered across the hill like mines waiting to explode sled parts, but overall no real carnage happened. Qualified in 2 of 3 classes and had an OK finish except for flipping over backwards in Mod finals. Glad I conquered the hill after getting my butt kicked here last year. Enjoy the pics.
